The horns sound even louder when you are standing right next to them don't they? Yep. You guessed it. On Saturday I went down to join the gang complete with my walker festooned with a "support our firefighters" sign, a fire fighter flag and a huge fire engine balloon. Oh yes. I almost forgot the shiny red decorative accents. I A couple of friends asked why I was going to do this and I asked them why they weren't. I saw many old friends and met some new ones. It was the most "serious" fun I have ever had. Honestly I just needed to be there. I am so sick of the treatment doled out by "that person" that It makes me think of a movie I once saw where a television personality was protesting on air and told the viewers to "get up. Open your windows. Stick your head out and scream "I am sick of this and I am not going to take it anymore." The viewers did so big time. I felt like my one little voice just had to be heard.
